Not much excitement, the typical results by the listed companies and an ever record breaking oil prices. Only bit of excitement came from Yahoo. It performed according to expectations but is really not impressive. It would be very difficult for them to demand for higher prices from Microsoft with such earnings. Not to forget, Microsoft reporting of earnings is coming, if it is good, you can expect the share prices rises means that the Yahoo bid rise in tandem, that makes it very difficult for Yahoo to reject Microsoft bid.
