The USA economy grows a bare 0.6% this quarter which breaks all predictions of a recession for the first half of the year. The definition of a recession is two consecutive declines in GDP, USA managed to avoid a contraction in the first quarter. But avoiding the recession is one thing, having such poor growth isn’t really much difference from a real technical recession. Markets are still quiet waiting for Fed’s decision.
