Google had always been the Darling of the tech industry rising to a high of $747.24. As at the closing today 2 Apr 2008 it is at $465.70. Given the huge drop, is it attractive enough to start buying into Google?

Problem is Google is that it will never pay dividends. Also what you are buying do not have much voting powers compared to the shares held by their founders. So you can never be able to profit from a hostile takeover if there is ever one. The only thing is capital gains hoping that Google continues to make money and the shares appreciate in prices. Google is a tech stock and the current economy tends towards a recession, despite the pricing being low compared to its historical highs, I would not buy this stock at the current moment.
