The largest mortgage lender in England may launch rights issues. This certainly isn’t good news especially coming in the face of the sub prime crisis. UBS and other European banks are affected severely. The launch of such rights issues is most likely to prop by the capital structure of the bank. I really do not consider that good news seeing that more and more European banks are getting affected by the sub prime now.
